Andaz Hotel

Liverpool street

Black is the New Chrome

Originally known as the Great Eastern Hotel, Andaz was built in 1984 and was known as one of one of London’s original railway hotels. This 5 star hotel is located just south of Liverpool Street station in the heart of London. Following extensive renovations, it is a beautiful example of Victorian architecture mixed with contemporary elegance.

John Planck Ltd were proud to supply products from the Frost ‘Classic Black’ Quadra range of washroom hardware to the 267 bathrooms within the Andaz Hotel, which formed part of a redesign of the individual guest rooms undertaken by Conran & Partners.

Each bathroom preserved the clean, timeless, metro tiles from the original design complemented by a number of new features in a striking black finish. Each guest room has been redesigned in a ‘residential’ style to encapsulate the welcoming ethos of an Andaz ‘home’. The extensive timber panelling has been preserved but stained in a more contemporary and crisp black to complement the new palette which followed through to the bathrooms.
