Since being founded in 1991 family firm John Planck Ltd has grown into a thriving Kent business. Now a quarter of a century old the company is celebrating its incredible achievement with an exclusive summer event.

Established by (dad) John, John Planck Ltd was the first specialist architectural ironmonger in Kent. The business quickly established itself amongst local Kent based contractors and building firms before later developing long lasting relationships with many architects practices throughout London and the South East. John Planck Ltd provides hardware solutions for exciting new and refurbished buildings across the area.

John retired in 2009 and now his son Tom is at the helm, building on the company’s reputation for hard work and family values. Working in partnership with the Monaghan Group, together the firm covers most of the UK. The group has expertise in supplying architectural ironmongery, access control, automatic and pocket door systems for, amongst others, residential, commercial and public building projects.

Current Managing Director, Tom Planck, added “It’s an incredible achievement to still be here and going strong after 25 years given that we’ve experienced 2 quite severe and lengthy recessions during our time.  I think this shows the level of dedication, service and product offering that the team has provided over the years & even through the different members of staff we’ve had, that ethos has carried on giving us strong foundations on which to succeed.”

We are extremely proud to have been supplying Ironmongery to the construction industry for 25 years, working with some outstanding businesses on some truly memorable projects that have shaped our future. In addition it has been a pleasure to have employed some fabulous local talent that has grown with the business over the years, we wouldn’t be where we are today without the investment of time from our very dedicated staff.

And since we’ve made it so far we feel it is only right to raise a glass at our celebratory party that will be held in our stomping ground, Chatham Dockyard.
